Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Acquires MenoLabs in Amyris Bankruptcy Auction

Indian multinational healthcare firm Dr. Reddy's Laboratories snapped up women's supplements label MenoLabs for $3 million in Amyris bankruptcy auction. 

WHO: MenoLabs is a subscription-based and Amazon-first business focused on addressing perimenopause and menopause symptoms, it was founded by Danielle Jacobs, Vanessa Ford, and John P. Konhilas, PhD, an Associate Professor with the Department of Physiology and Sarver Molecular Cardiovascular Research at the University of Arizona. MenoLabs has developed and launched eight research-backed all-natural treatment products. The brand also launched MenoLife, a highly rated perimenopause and menopause health tracker app that helps users track and analyze more than 40 menopause-related symptoms.

Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd. is a global pharmaceutical company headquartered in Hyderabad, India, established in 1984 by Kallam Anji Reddy. Driven by the purpose of "Good Health Can’t Wait," the company offers a portfolio of products and services, including APIs, generics, branded generics, biosimilars, and over the counter.

WHY: Amyris filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy in August. The Menolabs brand was auctioned off as part of the Amyris bankruptcy proceedings.
